The Binghamton Aeros were founded on September 18, 1985 by nine like minded R/C pilots. The common interest was building and flying of giant scale R/C aircraft.
Today, giant scale remains popular at our club. Owning and flying giant scale aircraft is not required to be a member of the club. Our members build and fly all sizes and types of aircraft from micros to turbine jets. It's all about having fun and enjoying the hobby.
Safety and friendship with other R/C modelers is part of who we are as a club. We are members of and chartered by the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA)
We regularly fly at the Chenango Bridge Airport. If the weather is nice, we are usually flying. If you are curious to see what the hobby is about, come by the field and check it out. Our members are always willing to answer your questions. If you would like to learn how to fly, we have a free training program. See the Want to Join and Our Field pages for an interactive map and more information.
